In this phase we will add signals, connections to the outside world, and stations
-
Goto Edit → Detailed List. Select the block view.
-
Select a group of blocks to assign connections to the outside world. You need to do it once per extern group (you can assign two extern group with one selection if one is exiting to the left and the other to the right)
-
In Group Edit for blocks, assign the extern. You can use one that already exists or you can create one as part of the assignment.
-
Repeat the previous two steps as often as you need, until all extern assignments are complete.
-
Select a group of blocks which you want to be handled as “connector-only blocks”
-
In Group Edit for Blocks, execute “Make Conn”
-
Select a group of blocks for which you want to create exit signals. In many cases you may want to select all of them
-
In Group Edit for Blocks, execute “Assign Signals”
-
Select a group of blocks for which you want to assign a station.
-
In Group Edit for Blocks, execute “Assign Station”. You can use one that already exists or you can create one as part of the assignment.
-
Repeat the previous two steps as often as you need, until you have assigned all stations.
This completes phase two, you now have a complete trackplan for your territory with all the connections to make a train schedule work (to be added in the next phase). Since the trackplan is now complete, you can take the opportunity to add “Display only” elements, like station names, exit names or other text to appear on the scenery, as well as other symbols. However, you can do it anytime you want.
