5.1.1.3 Dead End Blocks

A Dead-end block is actually a regular block or a superblock that is connected at one end with a controlpoint which only holds an “exit” signal in form of a end-of-track signal. This control point is only connected to the dead-end block, and is not connected to anything on its other end. The exit signal can serve as a destination of a route. The block itself does not have any attribute or property to indicate it is a dead-end block.
