This territory is based on a free public domain Train Dispatcher 2.0 territory by Ray Kopp. It is one of the very few territories that is complex enough and still offers a 24-hour schedule. In TD 2.0 diamonds weren’t available, so they were drawn as over/underpasses, which were modified to at-grade level crossings for CTC to match the prototype.
Because it contains balloon and circular tracks, the route building was quite a challenge for CTC. It is quite possible that you intend a route from A to B to use a more or less direct path, but get a path much more complicated and unexpected because of an obstacle you may have missed on a more direct path.
