Routes can be entered using the numeric keypad on your computer keyboard.
You enter a route like “123-456″ – displayed in the upper right corner of the main panel – , with the first number indicating the start block B123, and the second the destination block B456. Signal numbers can be entered as well, for instance “*35-*78″ – it will be shown as “S35-S78″.
If you made a mistake you can start over by either hitting the decimal point key – acting as delete key if numlock is off -, or by clicking the mouse anywhere on the main screen.
When ready, just hit the enter key. The system will attempt to set the route. If successful the display will add the word “exec’d” at the end of the string, otherwise the word “failed”, with an explanation displayed in the info line.
You can use only the numpad section of the keyboard, with numlock turned on.
Note, this method allows only creation of routes. Cancellation of routes is not possible this way.
If you have already selected a start block or a start signal by clicking on their symbol when you start typing, the clicked selection will be canceled
The assigned block and signal numbers are shown in the info line when hovering the mouse over the object. Note, not all block numbers and signal numbers are eligible: connector blocks cannot be selected at all. If a block is entered that is part of a superblock, the system will substitute it with the superblock internally. Signals which don’t represent home signals (i.e. distant only or functioning as a trigger) cannot be selected, end-of-track signals cannot be selected as start signal.
