Packages are special deals where you can get more than one license for a lower price than if you purchase these licenses individually.
They have their own Catalog ID, but there is no territory assigned to it by itself (even though you get a registration code for it, it is there only for display purpose in the purchase info panel).
If you have CTC version 5.8 or higher, the purchase info panel will help you to figure out what the packages include. You can of course buy packages in CTC version 5.7 or lower, but the panel will not show how the packages are structured.
The confirmation panel on the website showing the shopping cart (that’s where the PayPal button is), however, will not list the territories or licenses that are part of the package, only the license of the package itself. When we process your purchases, the package license will be expanded to include the licenses that are part of the package
If you select a package on the download page, you will get the a zip file with all the territories included.
As an example, lets assume we have a package “P” that includes licenses for “L1” and “L2”.
-
Download “P” gets the files for “L1” and “L2” (territories only).
-
In the purchase info panel, all “P”, “L1” and “L2” will be shown as “Already registered” if you already got the codes from the purchase of “P”.
-
In the purchase info panel, “L1” and “L2” will be shown as “Covered in Package”, if “P” is “In progress” or “In Shopping Cart” (CTC version 5.8 or higher).
-
On the web page where you can finalize the purchase, only “P” will be listed.
-
You will get registration codes for all of “P”, “L1” and “L2”.
Note, a license can also be the general license or the Editor license.
Packages can be a positive list (“P” = “L1” + “L2”) or a negative list (“P” = * – ”L1” – ”L2”), the latter will have all licenses except those listed at the time the package is bought. Non-public licenses are also not included.
