5.1.3.1 Visible Signals

Visible Signals are signals which are displayed on the dispatch operator’s desk. However, prototype aspects relaying speed and path information is not shown, so the dispatcher will see only “clear” (regular or switching) or “stop”.

When the simulator is running the following colors are used to indicate the status of a visible signal

  • Red Signal indicates STOP (flashing if waiting for response for signal or “running signal”)
  • Green Signal is cleared for REGULAR route
  • Yellow Signal is cleared for SWITCHING route (flashing if PASS on RED given on signal
  • Blue Signal is in Maintenance mode (trains will stop, routes cannot be laid in starting at signal
  • White flashing if trigger was hit (alternates with normal signal indication if signal present)

In Editor mode, regular signals are shown in red, while distant-only or triggers are shown in white. Yellow is used for highlighting. Route tests uses colors similar to runtime mode.

Unless a trigger is assigned, visible signals can be converted to invisible ones
